Crepe Mix Directions

This recipe is only for using our French Crepe Dry Mix

  • 1 cup (about 4 oz) of the dry crepe mix

  • 1 1/4 cups water (you can also use milk for a richer flavor)

  • 1-2 tbsp melted butter or oil

  • Optional: 1/2 tsp vanilla extract for a sweet crepe

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Batter:

    • In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of the dry crepe mix with 1 1/4 cups of water (or milk) and 1-2 tbsp of melted butter or oil.

    • Whisk the mixture until smooth and there are no lumps. Let the batter rest for about 10-15 minutes to allow the flour to hydrate fully.

  2. Heat the Pan:

    • Preheat a non-stick pan or crepe pan over medium heat. Lightly grease the pan with butter or oil using a brush or paper towel.

  3. Cook the Crepes:

    • Pour about 1/4 cup of the batter into the pan and quickly swirl it around to coat the bottom of the pan in a thin, even layer.

    • Cook the crepe for about 1-2 minutes until the edges begin to lift and the bottom is golden brown.

    • Flip the crepe using a spatula and cook the other side for an additional 30 seconds to 1 minute, until lightly browned.

  4. Serve:

    • Stack the cooked crepes on a plate and cover with a clean towel to keep them warm while you cook the remaining crepes.

    • Serve with your favorite fillings, such as fruit, Nutella, cheese, ham, or simply with butter and sugar.
